Last week-end I was out of Lisbon and I managed to buy some beautiful trims, a few really vintage, and genuine cotton Portuguese fabrics, known as "Tecidos de Alcobaça" and "chitas".
Alcobaça is a beautiful old town with a fantastic monastery, which main building was built in 1153 and during centuries several buildings were added. If you want to see more about this beautiful monastery go to http://www.360portugal.com/Distritos.QTVR/Leiria.VR/Patrimonio/Alcobaca/MosteiroAlcobaca.html
I will put here a post about the Portuguese Alcobaça fabrics history, and photos
